Texas dealers
I know I have seen threads on this before, so I did a couple searches and couldn't find what I was looking for. So sorry to ask again.....
Work is relocating me from NW PA to the north Fort Worth area. The Porsche web site shows 3 dealers in the area. Autobahn in Fort Worth, Park Place in Dallas and Plano, in you guessed it, Plano Since I already have my car I'm mostly interested in the best service department I can go to. I have a 13 Cab, so it's still under warranty so I want to stick with a dealer for now. Does anyone have any recommendations for these dealers or specific mechanics working at these dealers?
Thanks

I use Autobahn in Ft Worth for my 2012 C2S, mainly because they are the closest to my home. I've been very happy with the service, no problems or issues. My only complaint is they give me a Volvo for a loaner instead of another P car.

I use Park Place. They are the largest Porsche dealer in DFW and the service is the best of any dealer I have bought a car from. My service advisor Jeremiah Torres and the service Manager Terry are fantastic. I also go to Randall the manager of parts for any aftermarket or oem parts. I have had two 991's so far and they have done any work to them. If you'd like a contact PM me and I will send details.
I previously had a S5 years ago as a daily and used Audi of Plano(same dealer as Porsche of Plano) and once they were bought out by Auto Nation the service went down drastically. There are some good folks at Porsche of Plano though, Jon the manager if service is always at the DE events and helpful.
As for Ft worth Porsche its a small time dealer. If convenient maybe it will work for you.

i can't speak for the plano or ft worth dealers. i can however speak for park place dallas. they are fantastic. we live in OKC and drive 3.5 hours to dallas to have the car serviced. (the porsche dealer in OKC gives porsche a bad name)

Thanks all for the replies. I'm guessing both the ft worth and park place dealers will be close enough to use. I know traffic down there can be tough, but should certainly be quicker than 3.5 hrs😀. I'll make a trip to both and talk to the guys. I like my service guys where I'm at and know how they work so I'll use that as a comparison.

I have used both Autobahn in Fort Worth and Park Place. You can trust both, good people at each. My favorite salesman in the world is at Autobahn, but I prefer service at Park Place because you get a Porsche loaner. Autobahn does only give Volvo loaners (only down side).
Autobahn is small and quiet. Park Place is big and bustling.
The only "problem" I had at Park Place was a small snafu in communication due to the large number of employees (one guy says the car is not ready yet, and another calls and says "oh its been ready for hours I was expecting you this morning....").
Park Place filled my gas tank for me after an oil change, which I thought was a nice touch, like an unexpected $40 discount.
I live north of Fort Worth also and the drive to any of the three dealerships is not bad unless you go right in the middle of high traffic, then all three are equally terrible. Living here you get used to it.

Boardwalk is good for challenging diagnosis. There is no one better than their chief tech, Cliff and they are liberal on warranty items.

Just left Texas after a house hunting trip. I saw several Porsche, Ferrari, etc. but for the most part none of them had a license plate in the front. I thought Texas law states it was mandatory. I hate the idea of drilling into my bumper. So was hoping you guys might have more info. I read online it was the law, then it wasn't, but now it is again?? Is it just not a law that is enforced any longer??

CO997, it is a law in Texas to display both plates, however the law was written poorly and basically not enforceable for many years. The wording was corrected in 2013 I believe. Most cops do not pull people over for a missing front plate inTexas but no guarantees. If you pay attention for a few days you will see about 3 of every dozen cars you pass have a missing front plate in Texas. I will not put a front plate on my TTS until I get ticketed.

+1 for Plano. John Gladwill is my tech and he is great. He's also a Porsche club racer and attends most of the PCA driving events to help out with members cars. Some say he's one of the top mechanics in the country and I agree. He knows his clients on a personal basis and is always available via text or phone call. I don't even use a service advisor anymore, I just call him for everything. This dealership is very mod friendly as well, if you're into that sort of thing and they help out repeat customers on pricing for service and parts.
With that said, Devin is an excellent service advisor at the Plano dealership.
