Microfiber all the way.

Chamois is yesterday's technology.

Micro fibers are ok... But I never touch a high end finish while drying... I use a DI setup such as cr spotless and an air dryer such as an air max...

Not a swirl on my car and I can do a quick wash and dry in 45 minutes..

I dry it with a Metro blow dryer and a quick wipe down with a damp microfiber.

I chuckle because it just reminds me that I'm not the typical Porsche owner and love it.

Don't let my sarcasm ruin your day.

I've been using a synthetic chamois (The Absorber) for years and have never had issues with swirling. Microfiber towels can pick up leftover grit and it's hard to see it and clean it from the towel. I can dunk and shake The Absorber under water to make sure it won't be dragging any grit on the finish.

I use a leaf blower and whatever water is left afterwards I use the microfiber drying towel from griots garage ... See link below. Seems to work well.

I've been watching a lot of detailing videos on YouTube lately and the recommendations I see say to stay away from a chamois.

I think the colour of the paint could have a lot to do with the OP's question. I'm on my fourth Porsche and find that I'm much more fastidious with this one because the finish is black. Anyway, I use microfiber towels when drying the car. I also purchased a battery-powered leaf blower that I'll use from time to time to dry off the car.

I use this when I'm not in the mood to blow dry the car:

Great results to say the least -- it's remarkable how much water these things soak up.
