First of all I am glad that Richard911 got a trade he was happy with. However, I would not worry about your C4S Cab that is on the way -- just yet. I'm 71 and had my first back surgery in 1983, and my spine guy defines my current spine as a "mess" but suggests that I hold off surgery as long as I can. I love my 991S Cab and the only issue I have with it is on getting out of the car gracefully. My back won't allow me to just jump up out of the car, but since I don't mind how I look I can get in and out of the car without bothering my back at all. Not about to say that is will work for everyone with a bad back -- just wanted to let you know that there is at least one person with a bad back that still handles the 911 entry and exit ok.

BTW - once I am in the car the seat is very comfortable and has not bothered my in my drives at all.

I switched my Macan Turbo order to the GTS. You should take a look at the GTS. 10mm lower than the turbo and probably the best handling Macan for now. Maybe a Macan Turbo S whenever that is out.

 

I too have a bad back and sometimes getting in/out of the 991 is a pain. But, there is no other car like it. Rear engined, with less weight over the front wheels. That's the part you can't replace. I gave up on sporty SUVs (had an X5 and X6 m sport). They're compromise vehicles. I bought a GL450. Driving it is like watching grass grow, but its comfortable, can haul anything and is a beast in winter.

Good luck. I say keep the 991 and try a Macan.
