2013 Boxster S to 2013 Carrera S Cab
Just traded in a 2013 Boxster S for a 2013 Carrera S Cab -- so this is kinda my introduction to this group.
I owned a 2006 Cayman S and really enjoyed it for a couple of years. Left the Porsche family to play with a Shelby GT 500 Mustang with a ton of hp. The acceleration was fantastic and I loved the rumble of that big V8. But it just wasn't that much fun to drive around town. So back to the Porsche family with a used very loaded Boxster S. Not quite as "tight" as the Cayman but I found I really loved the option of putting the top down. I have always been interested in a 911 but they were just a bit higher than what I was comfortable in spending. After buying the Boxster used and being quite happy with it I decided if I could find a 911 with low milage and in really good shape with the options i wanted then I would make the jump.
I had the Boxster in for it's two year service and when I returned the loaner I got there a little bit before they were done with the service. So I wandered over to the sales area and saw my salesman and said "If you ever run across a really clean 911 that you know is in good shape please let me know". And he said, "I have one right now." And before i knew what I had done, we worked out a good deal as far as I was concerned and I was the owner of a 911. Very happy with the whole thing at this point.
