Flaunt it -- or low key?

I like all the varying opinions in these threads!
Here's a question:
Would you delete model designation on the back and have it just read Porsche?
Or, Porsche
911 Carrera 4S?

I took mine off, now it reads P O R S C H E and it looks very clean. Everyone knows its a 911, then again I guess everyone knows its a Porsche as well.

You don't need "Porsche" or "911" or "Carrera 4S" on the back or sides of the car, because you already know what kind of car you have (or at least you should). The sole purpose of ANY designation on the car is to inform the rest of the world what kind of car you have, and whether you have the fastest or most expensive variation. I happen to be a "badge *****" so I left Porsche and 911 Carrera 4S on the back of the car. If I could have, I'd also have included the words "Sport Exhaust", "Full Leather", "Sport Techno Wheels", "Glass Roof", and "14-Way Seats" on the back of the car. Perhaps I should have just left the window sticker on car.

Mine was "PORSCHE 911", but the badge came off when it was wrapped and I don't really miss it. I think the less shouty the better, but that may be a South London thing...!

It was just P O R S C H E on the back of my 991 C4, with aero kit. However, my GTS is a bit more emphatic, adding 911 GTS below the brand, but barely visable because of the black lettering. Just don't leave the back completely naked would be my recommendation.

Do you have pics of rear end. Assuming you rebadged yourself? Thinking of doing the same. Thanks.

When you remove the model designator, it leaves the P O R S C H E too high on the car, spatially. It should be reset down a little. I did it to mine and the out-of-balance look didn't appeal so after a few months I put a model designator back on.

Just P O R S C H E:

As I have it now - let the 911 off:

Now you know - the only people that will ever notices is yourself and other 991 guys who have the same disease you have. Everyone else will just roll their eyes. It's like Harley Chrome - you do it for yourself.

In response to what drcollie said about the PORSCHE emblem being to high. I have to agree.

I do not own a Porsche yet but am having one built soon. On the configurator I am doing a model delete. The picture below show that if the factory does the model delete, they move the PORSCHE emblem down a bit. At least I hope they do because I agree with drcollie that is seems a little high whey you DIY.

A couple of Porsche site photos.
