The wheels are just fine as they are. What the car needs is a new paint color. Almost any color but baby blue. It's a race car, not a baby's room.

 

Beautiful color and makes the GT3RS standout in the crowd but not in an obnoxious way.

Oh, no question! The 917 is legendary. I had the fortune of being able to see a few of them in person at Laguna Seca during Rennsport Reunion V last year and it was nothing short of amazing.

The Gulf livery is the most iconic livery for Porsche's most iconic race car. As far as I'm concerned Gulf Blue can be worn on any Porsche with pride.

 

I have a couple of the 1/18th scale AUTOart models of the 917, and I never get tired of looking at them. It's as close as I can get to having a 917.

 

Love that Gulf Blue RS! Needs some satin black wheels though.
