BMC air filter for Porsche 991 GTS

Hi folks,

I know some of you did replace the stock air filter with BMC. I am looking for feedback from those who did it.

- Sound? Videos inside the cabin?
- Throttle responsiveness?
- Torque?
- Any risks?
- Easy diy?

By the way I already have AWE X pipe.

Many thanks.

Based off what I've read:

- Sound? Videos inside the cabin?
Some say Yes, some say no.

- Throttle responsiveness?
Probably not.

- Torque?
No.

- Any risks?
No.

- Easy diy?
This is subjective. I doubt it'll take less than an hour to do.

So my conclusion--since, there is no "real" benefits, probably not worth it at ~$200 plus the 1.5-2h labor charge to have it installed.

Anyone know how often the RS (which has these stock) asks you to change these (in miles)?

I'm sure there's no real noticable gains but GT3RS comes with BMC filters as Maxhouse97 said. So I'm sure there's some sort of benefit.

I replaced it when my shop was installing aftermarket headers/cats (aka. no extra charge for installation). If I have to pay $$ to install only filters, I'm pretty sure I would skip it.

Another question related to inside cabin sound. Does someone know where is the sound deadening material in the engine bay? Anybody took it off?

Thanks.

Which headers did you install? What performance gains did you net out and do you have any accompanying mods?
