992 TTS vs 991.2 TTS - lag or gearing?
Hello,
While researching dream cars, I noticed the 992 TTS is slower than the 991.2 Turbo S in several tests in the rolling 5mph-60mph test by Car & Driver. Is it due to the turbo lag, different gearing, or?
I like this metric because it shows engine and throttle response for typical street encounters from a red light, vs. using launch control. Or just spirited driving without LC from a stop..
Has anyone noticed this as well? It is 3.3 or 3.4 seconds (2017 & 2018 models) vs. 3.6 or 3.7 seconds (992 TTS & Lightweight) tests. .
Thanks.

I have had several 991'tts and a 992 tts, first stock for stock the 992 tts is faster, and if you do the same mods to both cars the 992 tts will come out with 70-100 more whp, this is due to the larger GT2 turbo housing used on the 992 tts, double the size of the 991 tts. If you tune both cars you will lose any turbo lag, and see how the 992 shines. Many tests show the 2021 or 2022 tts doing 0-60 times of 2.0 to 2.2
