I’ve been able to drive my 992 turbo S for a few days now and the first thing I realized is that it draws way more attention than my 991. Every single time that I take this thing out, I get stares, pictures, other cars trying to race me, thumbs up etc. In my 991 I would maybe have a few people give it attention, but the 992 it feels like I’m driving a Ferrari with how much attention it’s getting. It could be because the turbo s is a brand new model and not many have seen it before in person, but I think that Porsche has really nailed it with the design by making it more edgy, aggressive and mean. I feel like the 991 had a lot of “roundness” to it and thus made the car look “cute and classy” whereas the new 992’s look sharper and edgy, similar to Lamborghini’s and Ferrari’s in that sense (although the 911 silhouette still stays iconic). I do have the sport design package on the car (bigger wing, front bumper, side skirts etc) but I was wondering if any of you 992 owners (turbo or Carrera) have noticed an increase in attention from others on the road compared to the older models.

PS, I love the attention and feeling like a celebrity, so I definitely do not mean this post in a negative manner.

I recommend wearing a bright metal flake colored helmet and getting your name painted just above your drivers door. You think you're getting attention now. . . . just you wait and see!
