help out a water cooled guy?

hey had a quick question... i have and have several P cars but i have always wanted a 993 TT...

this may be a stupid question but can the the front differential be removed as simply on the 993 ands the 996???

please dont take offense to the question, i love the car and understand value and all the other blah blah ove modifying it... but i love rear wheel drive period ... but i have always loved the look and lines of the 993 ,,, but i really dont like the fwd

one of my current cars turbos has plenty of power and can handle
l it... but does not make that wonderful sound of the 993

thanks for your help and advice

Easier than the 996 in fact. You don't have to change the front wheel hubs, 2WD conversion is a piece of cake if you go to someone who has done it before.

993 Gt2

I spoke to a guy a while back that had an interesting car for sale. He claims to have re-created a 993 GT2 from a TT with all Porsche factory parts purchased from Europe. It is RWD. See pics:

Vincent,

Mainly 993RS parts, shifter, box and linkages. You need to remove the torque tube, front diff and axles.

Yes, but if you buy a TT and convert it to rwd it will suffer in value because of that mod. I know that you can easily convert it back, but haven't you then spent money twice? Might as well let the owner of the gt2 clone take a hit. He has had the car for sale for a while. Might be able to strike a deal.

The third brake light, rear windscreen not being lightweight, heavy door panels, rear wiper, front water tank for the light washers, glovebox, front windscreen not glued, LSD, etc etc etc..

This car has not much to do with a GT2 clone, the GT2's strength was it weight and handling mainly other than its engine, which was just a 430 or 450 BHP upgrade depending on the year.

With that being said, it certainly is a great looking car.
