You lose about 135lbs removing the awd. Turn in feels a bit more crisp and I'd say it eliminates a bit of drivetrain loss on power, so those things contribute to acceleration and handling. The car is prone to a bit more throttle on oversteer out of corners than before, but the 16 yr old viscous coupling front dif was prob near the end of its life anyhow - so I yanked it.

~135 lbs. you need some 993 C2 parts - Fister DiPietro (fdmotorsports.com) can get you sorted. I think there is a DIY over on rennlist.
