If you ever decide to buy from Sloan, do your homework. There have been many threads about him on the Rennlist and not everyone has been happy with him. It seems, by what I have read, some cars weren't on consignment with him, or had ever been on consignment, but did get advertised on his site.

Just passing on what I have read, do your homework.

993turbos is infamous around these parts
I bought my 993 Turbo S from Sloan. The car is great, but the buying experience was a major pain. In the end, he has the best cars, and essentially has a corner on the market for the 993 turbo S, so you don't have much of a choice. I looked on my own for a couple of years and was unable to get one that was clean, original, and that I had no questions about. The couple that came up that seemed promising were snatched up by Sloan, RPM, or TruSpeed before I could close a deal.

As far as that Iris Blue car goes, I don't like weird color combinations on Porsches in general, and the Turbo S in particular. I'd stick with black, silver, or even guards red or white (black interior in any case) before I'd consider an Iris Blue. Now, if I had 10 or 20 Porsches, Iris Blue might be on the list, but my 1st 10 or so would all be normal colors.

I saw this car in person last saturday at Sloan. it was one sweet color. the interior is the perfect contrast to the Iris blue.

About Sloan himself, he seemed to be very knowledgeable and honest about his cars. he was not pushy trying to sell me a car. just seemed generally excited to have someone he could talk to about Porsches. he does have all of the cars in his posession and i don't think they are on consignment. I live about 40 minutes from him so it's easy to get down to his facility and check things out.
