993 Turbo S question

993 Turbo S question
First off, I want to apologize for my lack of knowledge about older Porsche models, I'm not a Porsche freak so my knowledge regarding them is not very vast.
A buddy of mine has a speed yellow 993 Turbo S which is slightly modded. My question is how rare these things are, specifically the Turbo S? I assume that because the 996 Turbo S is a fairly rare car, this must be even rarer and more unique. Anyone have any exact numbers for it in terms of production???
IMO, the 993 is the last "jaw dropping" body style of the 911....
It looks identical to this-

The 996 TurboS is not rare at all, as a matter of fact, Porsche marketing has just whored the "S" labeling in the post-aircooled era. The 993 Turbo S total U.S. production is approximately 180 units.

That is a hot car and a rare beast. With good miles that car is worth a pretty penny.

One person says it's rare, another says it's not
IMO, 180 units in the US is a very rare automobile....
For all you 993 Turbo owners, you guys have the best looking body style on a 911 to come from the factory. I do like 996 TT's, but that plastic front lip has got to go

I was aware that the 993 Turbo S was rare but i didn't think that only 180 units were produced for the US. Either way the 993 is an amazing car and never fails to satisfy its driver

I know there has been a lot of debate from 993tt owners that you can get more bhp for less money, it is always better for resale to have a limited production car with factory enhancements.
Bottom line...I have had a 993tt but have always lusted after the 993tt "S".
