That is not Black Metallic, but is pretty cool whatever it is. I have never seen it before. And it is not the same color as any of the other cars in this thread.

Dan, if you're referring to the Vesuvio Metellic 996 C2 at Autoforum in Etobicoke, I bought the car back in May and took possession in June. It is a rather rare colour in the Porsche arena as I've received quite a few comments on the colour. The colour attracted my wife as we were looking at another C2. We wanted a colour that is different than the standard black and silver found in most Porsche. She refers to the colour as "egg plant". The purple shows under the sun and dark grey in the evening.

Dan, unfortunately I am unable to respond to your PM as I need a minimum 15 posts....
I was told he owns an auto dealership in London, Ontario who consigns Autoforum to sell the car. We actually purchased the car in April and took possession in May. However, there were numerous quirks that came up once I took possession where the car was brought back to Autoforum for repairs. Tony at Autoforum was great in addressing those issues which I am very greatful. Those issues have all been addressed and the car ran beautifully and we’re extremely happy with it.
I went to Downtown Porsche yesterday to purchase a touch up paint for the car. Apparently the colour is rare to the dealership as they have not had to order any in the past. They had to special order it and will take about a week for delivery. I figured while I’m there I might as well get a quote on 4 wheel alignment. They quoted $325 … holy smokes!! A 4 wheel alignment for my BMW is only $169. Hugh price difference! I guess I’ll have to get used to the cost of Porsche ownership.
Another challenge I’m faced with at the present time is trying to refrain myself from performing upgrades. I guess I’ll spread out the upgrades and do a little at a time.

Hmm It was the previous owner to the one that had it.. He had it since 1996 until 2002. Autoforum took possession of it it and sold it again, I thought you purchased it a year ago. I know it was sitting on their lot for a little. It is a gorgeous car, and don't hesitate to upgrade it!

Thanks Dan for the kind words.
Autoforum had it on their lot for a while. I'm unsure the reason for it but I suspected the reason could be the car originated from the US. It was purchased in Florida at Champion Porsche. I was provided the Carfax report detailing all services that were performed on the car... clean bill of health.
First item on my upgrade agenda is suspension. I'll do some research before I jump into it ..
