Hey all,

Just introducing myself. Been a long time lurker (member on Rennlist), but I finally signed up here on 6 speed. I currently own a '97 C4S with about 35k miles, and some other goodies (coilovers, some added era-specific ICE). Though it has low mileage, I am carefully overhauling parts due to the 993's relative age (and hoping to avoid that slippery slope into further mods). I purchased it middle of last year, and it took me a little over 6 months to find one with options to my liking. Currently, my next to do is installing an RS clutch and flywheel and some other wear/tear parts along the way.

Hopefully, I can get some pics up as my thread count increases.

Welcome to the 6. If you don't want to get bitten by the mod bug stay far far away.

Post up some pics when you can.

Haha, what's up, Jeff. Hope all is well with you. We definitely have to get a meet going again as the weather gets better.

As for the mod bug, probably like Stealth, I've been into Euro's for some time, but did have a JDM stint. Before fulfilling my dream of possessing a 993, I had a fairly wild twin turbo 350z roadster, but alas, it was probably time for a more "mature" sports car, and what a sports car the 993 is. I have not looked back since.

Welcome over here! I too spend a lot of time on Rennlist and I'm still a newbie here. (need to get my post count up..I'd love to use the classifieds here)

Welcome, Mike! As you can see, I'm a die-hard fan of the 993. Your car is stellar.

BTW, in addition to your "fear" of further mods, be careful where on this site you tread. For example, I was totally happy to have just one, basic watch and then I stumbled into the watch forum here. Things can get ugly fast Seriously, 6Speed is a really great community of people. Enjoy and get out to a local event to meet folks and their rides face-to-face.

Thanks for the kind replies, all. The 993 is at the shop right now, just having completed an RS clutch/flywheel upgrade and updating/checking the bolts. Of course, the upgrade in itself was what I presumed, but after inspection of the old setup, it looks like the PO had an RS setup in there already, but proceeded to tear it up (lots of hot spots, disk was pretty worn). Well, with my work schedule, I'll be able to pick her up on Tuesday. Nonetheless, since purchase, I have done a full front clear bra, 30k major service, changed out the A/C Evaporator core unit and recharged the system, and now added a brand new RS clutch/flywheel system, with all the related components replaced while the mechanic was in there (she just turned past 35k miles). Yep, already starting to slide down the slippery slope, and the car still looks the same, hehe......Too bad BBS just raised their prices.....
