I am thinking about getting a used 997TT (or 993TT) as my first Porsche. Why do you prefer 993TT over 997TT? Any advise for a prospective first time Porsche buyer?

Thanks

I would choose a 997TT over a 993TT any day.

More modern
Beautiful curves
More luxurious

Think about it this way...would you prefer Miss Universe 1997 or Miss Universe 2009?

Miss Universe 1997 is has a proven track record of being really good. Miss universe 2009 might be good now but who knows about the future... could just lay there. I would date 2009 and marry 1997.

Go for it. I felt the same way and went for it. I just bought a 97 C2S with 41K miles ,arctic silver, black interior and factory aero kit. The car is awsome. I looked and looked. These cars are going for good money and the sellers aren't coming off the price because of the rareity of the car. 759 C2S' were built in 1997. You won't lose on the resale side of it. Maintain the car, keep the miles down, and enjoy it! Lots of luck on your decision........
