993 C4s daily driver

I had a 993 years ago. I am looking at a 1996 C4S with 100,000 miles. I am thinking about purchasing and using it as a daily driver. What do you think, its 14 years old. I drive about 10K a year. Do you think I am better off with something newer for a DD.

I daily drive my 95 C4, it's been perfect, the only thing I would like is a bit more room. I look forward to the drive!

The only thing I've had to do is maintaince, & I've had one heater servo fail, that was just last week. 15min fix in the drive way.

A lot more should go into your decision than mileage alone... Any major engine work? Rebuild at any point? And trans rebuilds? Any mods done?, and if so... has it been put back to stock, and/or are the mods taxing reliability at all?

After a go ahead from a good PPI I'd, personally, have no reservations about driving an air cooled Porsche daily. The motors are bullit-proof when maintained and as long as you have a good relationship with a local mechanic, that maintanance doesn't have to dry up the kid's college fund or anything. Some shops smell the $$ when a Porsche comes in though so build a rapport with someone you trust. Having owned one in the past I'm sure you're already familiar with that side of it.

If you pull the trigger, be sure to post up some pictures... I'd love to see the new ride!
