Price check: 1995 C2 w/ ~35k miles
Newbie here. I'm looking at a fairly generic (low optioned) 993. It's a 1995 m/y and is red/blk. The hood and nose have been repainted "due to stone chips". There are pretty good records and the car is very presentable inside and out. This would be a private party sale. Of course the purchase would be subject to a thorough PPI.
I know that Porsches in general have taken a hit in their resale value but don't really have a sense about how this has played out in the 993's. Opinions? TIA

The 993's have just recently started taking the blow from the economy and are coming down. I firmly believe that once the economy turns around, their values are going to go back up, so it should be a good time to buy. I would guess a 35k 993 is going to demand 33-35k depending on overall condition. You can pick up 60k mile 95's for $25k all day along.

IAPorscheDoc: Thanks for the reply.
I guess you're a little more optimistic than others I spoken with - they felt that this example was a $25 - $27.5K proposition to be "market priced". I had also been told that higher mileage cars (like you mentioned) were in the very low $20's.
This is why I posted in the forum - to solicit opinions!! Bring 'em on. Anyone else?

Miles, options, over all condition, modifications?
The stone chips are normal, the nose takes a beating! Even my C4S with 30kmi needed the nose redone.
The place you live in also plays a big part, in So-Cal you will pay much less then most of the rest of the US, same for Texas.
Good 993's have been selling the low $30's. of course high miles, or a Ok car will be less. If you look at some of the sub $25k 993's you will see why they are that price.
Of course, get a PPI done!!
