993 Cab, TT, 964 3.6T or 996 Turbo S, Trade for 04' Ferrari 360CS?
Has anybody driven all these car?
Im in the market now for a 911 and these are the contenders. Im giving up my Ferrari 360CS (Challenge Stradale, anyone interested im open to trades) to go back to the 911. Ive owned a 06' 997 C4S Cab, an 08' 997 Turbo Cab(Tiptronic totally sucked never again). Im leaning towards the 97' 993 Cab with low mileage and a Gemballa kit, but rather nervous about an old school electric top. The 05' 996 Turbo S Cab is another great option but this will NOT be a Daily Driver and Im feeling more vintage these days. My wife doesn't think a 993 is Vintage enough and actually thinks it looks too much like a 997 just without the technology she'd rather see a 55" 356 Speedster in the garage.
Any suggestions from any of you that have driven these cars would be a great help.....
Thanks,

that turbo S is simply amazing, the new reviews in Car AND driver, are unbelievable, here check it out :
http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...mparison_tests
0-60 2.7 seconds, wowzers, and 0-100 in 6.4, 1/4 in 10.8 @ 129, yikes
but yet a 993 c4s is one of my favorite porsche of all times........Im actually looking for a 96 or a 97 speed yellow C4S right now, what prices are you getting with your search?

I was actually inquiring on an 05" 996 Turbo S Cab, 997TS are pricey and Im not interested in PDK now.
993 Prices are high, but you get what you pay for. There really isnt a lot of inventory. A clean C4S seems to bring close to the 50K range, truspeedmotorcars.com has a yellow.

Thanks,
I have driven all these cars except for the 996 TS. Instead, I've driven a 996 GT2 and a Ruf 996 R Turbo.
For me, the choice comes down to either the 993 cab or the 993 turbo. Every time I drive a 996 variant, there's something that I can only describe at "soul" that seems to be missing. Capable? Yes. Fast? Incredibly. But there's something that's missing.
Every time I get out of my turbo, it's a completely satisfying experience whether I'm going to the store or on a real drive. It's such a pure sensation if that makes sense.
The 964 3.6 turbo is a great car. Can be a handful with that single, big turbo. I love the extreme fender flares and just like the overall looks and newer-ness of the 993s better.
Hope this helps and good luck.

They are all very different cars.
What kind of driving do you do? What will you use the car for?
Of all the cars you listed, the 993 will be slowest, & being a cab will not feel tight & as nimble as the 996 TT. But that being said, besides the 964 will feel more connected, & have a lot more fun @ lower speeds.
My suggestion, is find the cars YOU want, & drive them. Get the one YOU like best.
