1998 Cab C2

A relative called me and said they bought with a 24 hr kick out a tip white 1998 Cab with 20,000 at a Maryland Porsche Dealership.

They paid around $50,000 they said. I am not sure if that included sales tax in MD of around 7%.

I told them that seemed high to me for a tipronic P.

And they bought a warranty (2 yrs) for $3600.

I had a 993 yrs back but dont follow the trends. I know 20,000 miles is low but $50K ? I am amazed on the value the 993s hold.

The first day they walked out from the dealer and the dealer didnt call. They stated this was the rock bottom price for this auto.

Comments??

thanks

Don

$50k is pushing it. For a non S tip it is a bit high even with the warranty.

I agree with louis, I'd say it's puching it HARD, as the cab's also arent the most collectable.

DJF1 is infamous around these parts
you'd be surprised of how many people are willing to pay this kind of money for the everbecoming rare 98 pristine models. Lately there has been an upward adjustment on the 993 prices with the 95's still the bargain of the lot. The blue book values and all the other experts are out of the window. Mark my words, in a few years you will see prices even higher for pristine , below 30K examples... Its all about supply and demand. The 993's are highly desirable compared to the other 911's so people are willing to pay for them.
