Just read through the link. Interesting....but seems that dyno reads a bit high as 450whp for a flash is also quite high. In any case maybe you just have a "factory freak"...which is a good thing!

As far as x50 flashed I assume would easily take a 997tt, as my stage II is only slightly faster (1 car length from 60-130) than bone stock x50

Yeah once I get the flash done I'll be going to at least 2 dynos, same all wheel drive dyno I took it initially and a regular RWD Dynojet, I may have a "factory freak" who knows which like you said it is a good thing, we'll see..I'm looking forward for Flash, exhaust & filter.

a stage II is fairly comparable to a X50? I thought a stage II 996tt turns out around 510-530 hp at the crank? am i missing something?

I wonder how a 996 with K16/24 would do vs stock 997TT? the hybrid probably would help in the turbo lag department

The general consensus in the thread is that if the 996TT had only one person in the car, they would have been an even match.

Jesus, don't run the 997tt on an uncoupled 4wd dyno (Dynojet) because you will ruin the rear brakes and possibly the center diff. Someone else here found this out earlier in the year and cooked the whole rear brake system. The newer cars read the speed of the tires and "correct" the difference with the rear brakes

Remember, stage 1 assumes stock exhaust and air filter.

I agree 997TT takes this, not a rape......more of a ***** slap

Stage two with a good free-flow exhaust (Fabspeed 2nd gen....not the no-drone) and BMC would beat the 997TT.

"The general consensus in the thread is that if the 996TT had only one person in the car, they would have been an even match."

One comment: the last video was from inside the 996TT, so he probably had a passenger.

I'd like a mod listing on the 996 though as we all know what's possible with even a "mod-est" budget.

I'll assume the 997 was not modded, but can anyone confirm either?

LOL...think about what you just wrote.

Everyone already knows the 996TT had two people in the cart, whichi s why the consensus is that if there had been only person in the 996TT (rather than the two that were in it), the two cars would have been evenly matched.

I'd like a mod listing on the 996 though as we all know what's possible with even a "mod-est" budget.

I take it you did not read the first post in the linked thread. To reiterate; the 996TT only had a Protomotive ECU flash (nothing more)....and was carrying two people. The 997TT was a bone stock Sport-Chrono 6-speed and had only the driver.

hmm ive always thought stage1 was, tune exhaust and filter, and stage 2 was bigger turbos. As on every other car.

But what i want to now is if a 996tt with tune exhaust and filter is faster then a 997tt. Sorry for messing things up
