Final Texas Mile Thread
#121
Congrats to Tommy of Autobanh Motorsports @ Texas Mile! He has written a new chapter in the book of motorsport racing.
Not only did Tommy hold the original Record of fastest Street car @ 201MPH+ (in the standing mile) he beat his own record and created a new one @ 228MPH+!!
I don't believe there is another street car that has gone faster than Tommy with his Supra in the standing mile anywhere in the world! Both records were set with a MKIV Supra. Goes to show how good Toyota engineering goes. Even with Technology from the early 90s there is still no competition. The Vipers and Ford GTs tried to top him but didn't come close.
Good job, you worked long and hard to enjoy this new title!

Chris,
Nice vid of Tommy...I love his reaction when he hears his time.
I read that post about Eddie Bello's car, but it doesn't give tech info on Ed's car.
Does anyone know?
Paulie,
You have a new nickname: Stinkfinger.
Scott,
Conditions were perfect. Your car just might have had a shot at 210 after all.

Congrats to everyone, Evoms, Marty, Tommy anyone I missed.
That is so cool you guys were able to post some huge numbers. Are there any timed accleration numbers to reach these speeds? Is there an easy conversion to take the mph/1 mile distance to post accerlation times?

Photobucket must have dropped the sound. I had trouble loading it last night so it is probably larger than their limit.
