*** My 996 GT2 Project ***
I recently got the bug to build up a 996TT so a few weeks ago I set out to locate the perfect car to work with... After travelling by car and plane to see a few, I was met with nothing but dissapointment; 2 were accident cars being passed off as mint condition ones and the rest were poorly taken care of. I decided to take a break for a few weeks and just play with the cars I already had... Then, 2 days ago, I accidentally stumbled across what looked to be a mint 2003 GT2 being offered at a price I felt comfortable with.
This is the only yellow GT2 in Canada with this equipment so its a pretty rare combination...
I went to see the car yesterday, and after driving it for 2min I decided it was the one.. Picked it up this morning and now the fun begins..
I have the following parts on order for the first round of mods:
Performance Parts
-------------------
- Coated Headers, Fabspeed 200cell race cats, Fabspeed Gen3 mufflers
- Boost hose kit
- Club sport intercoolers
- 1Bar wastegates
- Forge bypass valves
- Custom tune
- VFlow intake
Appearance Parts
-----------------
- Fikse lightweight wheels. Black centers w/polished lip
- Aluminum pedals, aluminum instrument rings
- Full carbon fiber interior
This should put me somewhere in the 600hp club. Over the winter I am thinking of tearing down the motor and going with a full out build.
Here are a few shots of the new beast.
