Tire Choices - Beating a dead horse!!
Hey guys,
I will apologize in advance for another post about tire choices for the TT. But, basically, after hearing great things about the Toyo RA1's from a lot of people, I decided that was the tire I was going to go with. Come to find out they don't offer rear tires in 30 series, just 35.
So, I was back to the drawing board. With price not being a concern, which would you chose? I currently drive the car on nice days and about 4000 miles a year. I will occasionally get caught in the rain, and never will track the car. But, I do drive the car hard on the street.
Do I buck up and spend between $1,300 and $1,500 on PS2's, Pirelli's, or Conti's? I was flipping through Excellence this month and there is a huge ad for Kumho tires, and when I looked them up online, you can get all four tires for $600.
I am totally lost, but I need tires bad, and need to make a decision soon.

RA-1's are R compound race tires. Wont put on a daily driver.
If that is what you want go with Nittos

+1. Even though they are sister companies, the Nitto NT-01's are a better r-compound than the Toyo RA-1's.
