Turbo Stutters at 4krpms and above?

I am a new Turbo owner and I just picked up a 996 TT (K16) with ECU upgrade, EVOMS Intake and Europipe Exhaust.

On my way home, when merging on the highway, I nailed it in second gear and above 4k rpms, the car started to stutter really bad (whoosing sound coming from the turbos) and then the check engine light came on. The car boosted to 1.0 Bar everytime I nailed it. It doesn't feel fast at all and above 4k, the car is really jerky and shaky. The rpms don't climb smooth at all.

Other then that, the car drives fine and boosts fine upto 4k rpms. No rough idle and drives perfectly smooth as long as I don't go over 4k rpms. The check engine light remained on.

Please help!!

Talking about stuttering, something almost the same happened with me, i was driving my car, then it start stuttering aswell, car is completely stock, 04 with 10k miles on it. Even in 2nd gear it kept stuttering around 3-4k rpm, like I step it but nada, so thank god i was almost home, no check engine light came on nothing. And the car began to idle around 1300 rpm, so i turned it of back on and everything was fine. Should I give it a full service? Dealer said they don't have on record that the car had the big service yet.

I had serious stutter on my GT700 between 5000 - 6000 RPM. I replaced the plugs, coil packs and injectors. This fixed it. Sorry I can't narrow it down for you further.

BLKM3 i just got my car back from the dealer. The mechanik that worked on my car said that of his experience the stuttering came from the air mass sensor I think he said, reason why is the K&N filter has e special oil on it, and that is what I have, and when you pull the car that oil gets on the sensor and gives on falls readings or so. He cleaned the filter of and the senor, cars feel totally different now. Suggested to get the evox filter box or so. R u also running the K&N filter?

Your added boost is blowing out the spark. Check the plugs.

Thank you everyone for the help. It was indeed the sparkplugs. The stuttering was the misfires from many cylinder banks. I replaced the plugs with the Bosch and added 100 octane race fuel today. Car is finally a beast again!
