I am speechless (that does not happen often). Rob, a demonstrated liar (https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ad.php?t=96015), has resurrected a six month old thread for the transparent purpose of disparaging Joe and EVOMS. What a pathetic and childish move by a proven liar. Rob's criticism of others for not participating in the TX2K8 event is particular ironic given that Rob promoted the hell out of the event for months in advance, Rob stated that he would run his car in the event, Rob attended the event, but ROB DID NOT PARTICIPATE IN A SINGLE EVENT. Now, after promoting the event, stating that he would participate, then backing out with feeble excuses (addressed below), Rob has the audacity to browbeat others for not participating. Are you really that dense Rob? Throw away the shovel Rob before the grave you are digging for yourself gets any deeper. Logic, reasoning and common sense obviously were not part of the curriculum at the medical school you attended.
Not surprisingly, Joe points out the fallacy of Rob's comments and exposes him yet again. In response, Rob proffers the utterly ridiculous excuse that, even though he spent almost a year and tens of thousands of dollars building a 3.8l monster 996TT, he will never run the car hard. WTF!!! Did you build the car simply to look at it while polishing your helmet? I suppose you are also married to Jessica Alba, but you never bang her.
Moreover, your ridiculous excuse is inconsistent with your claimed street racing. You state that you "did several runs with 800 plus hp cars at the surpa nats last month and the car performed very well" ( https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...2&postcount=42 ). You went on to observe that you used "50 gallons of race gas and a pair of Hoosiers" for these races. In other threads, you have claimed street racing victories against other high hp cars. Are you actually claiming that you are using race gas and race tires to prevail in street races over "800 plus hp cars," but you didn't push your car hard in those races? Come on dude!!! Put down the bong. The truth is that you will push your car hard when there is no timing equipment present to generate an objective benchmark for your car (e.g., street races). However, you will not run in a timed event and risk an unsatisfactory time. The "supra nats" included a 60-130 event. That is shorter than a typical street race and, therefore, places less stress on your car than a street race. Yet, you declined to run the 60-130 event, instead placing greater stress on your car in street races. You have been exposed yet again Rob. Your weak excuse does not withstand even the most superficial scrutiny.
There are two HUGE ironies in all of this (probably many more than two, but I will comment on two). First, I suspect Rob's car is really damn fast and, had he stepped up to the plate and taken a swing, he probably would have generated an impressive time. Yet, Rob declined. Second, Rob is constantly opening the door for smack downs with his false claims, relentless touting of his own car without supporting data, and unprovoked passive aggressive comments about others. He constantly writes about how blisteringly fast his car is, but declines to obtain a single objective measurement of its performance. He claims he will run his car at the supra nats, fails to do so, then brow beats others for not doing so. He resurrects a six month old thread in order to launch an unprovoked attack of Joe. Rob, you have brought this upon yourself and you have only yourself to blame for the backlash.
Rob, I will say to you what I previously said to Buddy when he spiraled out of control. Step back dude. Rethink your approach. You are consumed by this nonsense. It has become an obsession for you. Tone down the rhetoric and the surreptitious attacks. Enjoy your car. Its fine if you don't want to post objective data, but don't go around jabbing others. What do they say about rocks and glass houses? Notwithstanding your pathological posting habits, I suspect you are a decent guy. Instead of resurrecting six month old threads for illegitimate purposes, resurrect the decent guy inside of you and buy him a drink . . . a BIG drink. You both could use it.
That’s my 2 cents.
Regards,
Craig
