That is a hell of a run, especially on 19's. So, you short shift 1st and 2nd? Then what, redline 3rd and 4th (6800-6900 rpms)? My rev limiter was moved up to 7k rpms.

When it gets colder I'm going to go try that out. So your saying shift from 1st -> 2nd @ 4700-5000RPM and then 2nd to 3rd @ 4700-5000RPM and then ride out 3rd and 4th.

What kind of RPM are you shifting 3rd to 4th at?

I am .09 off from my 11sec Pass, even with my ****ty mph. I got a 1.76 60ft out of her. Hopefully I can do that again in a little colder weather and try some of these new shifting techniques. Damn why does it have to be so hot in Houston still!

Im sure its going to differ from car to car shift point wise. Try shifting sooner than redline what ever nets the best ET. You have to experiment with it. One thing ive learned About Turbo cars threw the years is they love LOAD so shifting a bit sooner increases the load. Now if you had larger turbos id imagine it will not work as well since there efficency range is higher than k16s. If i recall i try to shift out of first before 5000, second into third @5500. Its hard to hit the 1-2 because your holding at the start around 3500
sliping the clutch out , 5000rpm comes real fast after that.

Yeah I'm going to have to try. I have K16s still too. I'll have to experiment some at the track this winter. Thanks for some of the advice on it. My launch is a tiny bit different. I basically keep up the revs up a little bit (blipping the throttle until ~4000rpm) slip the clutch a little and dump it soon as it bites a tiny bit.

How many passes you made in the SRT8? My brother has one. We went 13.1s @ 103 in it the other night. Going to try to break into the 12s this winter. Hopefully will be able to do it stock too. It's fun as hell on the street, just floor it and it beats almost anything out of the hole LOL!

Damn, great times for K16's - congrats! How do you generally find it best to get those short times? Hard slip, or dump it from 5k?

I was thinking the same thing lately about shortshifting the K16's, and I'll try it out this weekend coming up. Cool air and nice weather permitting, I should give you a run at that best time...

Slips from the two passes i made that night. The first one is pump gas program the second is race gas program 103 octane leaded.

God damn that's fast!!!
