Need quick answer about track and tires
I had my front tires reset (taken off, put back on) after spinning out 3 weeks ago.
Wasn't planning on tracking until months from now, but just found out MSR is having free track day for exotics.
Is it safe to run on reseated tires?
Probably not, yes?
Thanks

as a norm people often dismount and reverse the tires for extended wear. i do that on my hoosiers.... there is no problem with dismounting and remounting tires? are you afraid of the weakening sidewall from the dismount process?

Yes...Sam Shalala (a bit of a racing legend around these parts) said not to track the car unless I got new tires...was just going to do a 60-130 next week which is fine, he said....but free track time...hard to resist.
Another prob...I have Nitto R compounds on the back and PS2's on the front....was eventually going to go w/ Nittos all the way around.

answer to your initial question is no problem do it all the time.
however I can think of three problems from what you have said
1. obviously they need to be rebalanced and weights taped.
2. if these are the tires you spun on they may be flat spotted and therefore cause problems.
3. I would not mix R compound tires (Nittos) with street tires (PS2's) on the front. the difference is grip would throw things off especially with any four wheel drift (this is just how I feel of course you can do what you want)
