High pitch sound (clutch)

High pitch sound (clutch)
The previous owner installed a lightweight flywheel and some sort of clutch (I am not sure which one) and at low speeds 1st or 2nd gear, the car makes a really noticable high pitch sound. The sound immediately goes away when the clutch is pushed in. This sound only occurs at low speed driving around 10-15mph. The clutch seems to be alright. Any ideas to why this is happening?

There is a problem with the power steering pump. This is a know problem. There is a TSB on this and a very good post about it on Rennlist. Also get it fixed right away as it can cause a nasty engine fire when the pressure switch lets go.

Power Steering Pump? Everything is fine with the powersteering. Its the clutch that is hard and then soft. When the sound is occuring, by pressing the clutch in, the sounds goes away completely. I don't see how that can be linked to the power steering??
