tblackj - sorry to hear you can't make it! It's once a year folks, and the only time in the past 10 years (and for the next 5 years) that it falls on Easter Weekend. Those catholics (I'm catholic by the way, no offense intended) decided to make Easter weeks earlier in 2008 for some reason????

HA! Yea, I hear you... We had a HUGE post/poll on Supraforums about the event being that weekend and the OVERWHELMING response:

1. The event has ALWAYS been on that weekend in March, people plan for it.
2. Keep it in conjunction with Spring Break, which it is...
3. Many non-catholics come to the event.
4. Those that are catholic will come celebrate in TX!



So, in the end, we decided to keep it as is...

I've been a couple of times in the past and I agree 100%... that is why I am sick. The Easter thing has nothing to do with the religious part for me... God knows where I am at all times, he doesn't care, but I have a little 4 year old girl that wants to hunt Easter Eggs and I'm not missing that for the world.

You guys have fun and stay away from the Houston cops. They love this event. It's like their annual fundraiser.

I don't think anyone that I know of within the past 3 years has gotten a ticket....and if anyone would have, it would have been someone in our group.

Now I got 3 photo tickets at Woon's AZ event in one night, so that's an area to stay the f*ck away from!

 

Sign up people....we definitely want to run the road portion of the comp on TWS...a huge track where the high hp cars can really stretch their legs and exploit their power advantage. If we get stuck w/ some puny little girly man track like MSR then I am going to have some annoying little Miata, or one of the estrogen fueled 230 hp "track junkies" from the M3 forum stuck on my *** all day.
