GoPro Cameras - In car video camera (possible group buy)
#48
Well I started the whole crazy thing so here's my take...
The video portion is wonderful for it's size and ease of use. The sound sux. I've tried just about everything to get the sound better, but alas nothing really turns out good. If you are looking for just video and will edit in music or something after then it's a great inexpensive platform that gives you lot's of mounting options etc.. Hell I strapped mine to my helmet snowboarding a few months ago and got some great footage of my kids learning to snowboard. Could not have gotten the footage as easily as with this camera.
Mind you though this is nowhere near HD quality. It is good quality and great for sharing over the net, etc... If you want GREAT quality video of your track days or whatever and the sound this is not the solution.
Hope that helps.

I still have the contact to get them at a good price. Problem is that I need a minimum of 6 ordered to be able to do it. So if anyone wants one speak up and be counted. If at least 6 are put together I will facilitate again.

Seems like a great deal since most camera rigs are extremely costly (around $500). I don't really know about the wrist mount one though... seems like you would get some pretty shaky footage haha

We have gotten the "motorsports" version so no wrist strap with that one. It does come with a suction cup mount (which is what I use 99% of the time). Cost was about $140 + shipping IIRC on the GB.
If you guys are serious send me a PM with your contact info and I'll start to keep count and get it together. There were a few guys that got left out from the first buy that may come back up too so there may be enough.
