back in a pcar

well about a month ago my elise was rear ended and sorta totaled. i say sorta because what happened was, the estimate for repairs were close to 23k. now there was not a lot of damage at all, it needed a new rear clam, rear diffuser, new rear subframe (a bolt on piece) a new exhaust and a new cat. parts for this car are just really really expensive. so anyway, the kid who hit me only had 25k in insurance so statefarm didnt want to touch the claim because they felt with rental car etc, the damages might exceed 25k. so i was stuck going through my insurance company. i was really hoping to total the car, as much as i loved it because of the accident, i just wasnt sure if it would ever be perfect even after a good repair. as luck would have it, before my insurance got a chance to look at the car, someone offered to buy the car as is and fix it themselves, thus not having a salvaged title. so i ended up taking the 25k from the insurance company and selling it to this guy which was the equivalent of totaling the car, sans the salvaged title. here are some pics. see, not that bad??? expensive little buggers.

sorry about your Lotus. I love the handling of mine (older esprit), but nothing compares to the combination of handling AND POWER that the Porsche offers. Which wing is on the back of your car? It looks great. Your car looks great. Get ready to drive around with a stupid grin on your face that you can't remove.

yeah, the problem with the elise is that none of the insurance books have repair costs so everything is a guess to most body shops. and yes i feel a huge difference in power.
