why so many problems with the GT evo kits? seems like the best bang for the buck is the stage 3-4. after that it seems like you are past the practical street tune for everyday type reliablility.

EVOLUTION MOTORSPORTS name is on that kit. Can you imagine if someone took a RUF kit off of a car and tried to sell it pre-owned without having them go over it or being involved.

I think that if you have the knowlege to build your own 950hp kit for 1/4 of the cost then do so, and I will buy it from you.

Anyone else running a gt700 with HMAF and cats have these codes? Please chime in.

I still get these codes even after Todd flew out to Denver to install the HMAF and did some custom tuning.

I like the kit a lot but customer service really needs to improve. Getting a call back is nearly impossible.

I can understand not being happy about returning phone calls, but to fly out install a MAF & custum tune. I wouldn't call that bad service..IMHO

Don't get me wrong, I really like Todd and the crew. I've had a GT700 Cayenne and a GT700 GT2 built by them. Todd trailered the Cayenne to Denver and went to see his family in Steamboat so it wasn't a dedicated trip to fix my car. I did appreciated the fact that he spent a day with me on the dyno before going to Steamboat. However, while the car runs well it still throws codes.

I just find it a bit frustrated that I still have a difficult time getting a hold of them or getting calls returned.

Thanks Buddy - so now I need these guys to figure out why Im getting the lean codes at idle. Mike at evo - are you running a full exhaust with cats?

Jags, I think our cars are running rich under load and the short term fuel trims are pulling fuel at idle, causing the lean codes. What boost are you seeing?

I dont know. I am breaking in the motor so I have not been getting on the car enough to monitor the boost. Either way this needs to be taken care of. My heart skips a beat everytime that CEL light comes on. My car was doen for 5 months and I am being very cautious with her now.
