- Softronic does not require the removal of your ECU from the car. There is no down time at all.
- Softronic reflashing is done via a Client Cable (included in the price) that is connected to the OBDII port. The customer simply plugs the cable into the car and reads the file with a laptop per the instructions provided with the cable. Once the file is downloaded, it is emailed to the Softronic secure server where the file is manipulated and then emailed back to the client. The client simply uploads the file and they are done. Total process is about 1 hour during normal business hours. Other accomondations can be made.
- If the client is not comfortable with the simple process, he/she can send the ECU to us to have it bench flashed. The client cable will not be shipped.
- Reflashing is done according to additional modifications (Intake, Headers, Exhaust) to enhance power gains.
- ECU Reflash alters boost, fuel, and timing (where applicable) maps for increased horsepower and torque.
- Customer can upgrade to the Data Logging Client Cable which allows them to get real time data analysis with the Softronic Diagnostic Tool.

"The user then installs and runs the included Softronic software that will enable them to install a variety of flashes available for their automobile from the Softronic servers."
Am I reading this right? Does this mean that you buy the flash once and can later add an upgrade, log onto their server, and download a flash specifically tailored to that upgrade for no extra cost? If this is right, does this include software for different turbo setups?

Good question...
The initial price from us includes the chosen cable and first flash. IE K16, K24, etc. Say for example you decide to go from K16's to a hybrid turbo or our Agency Power 650 kit, you would pay an upgrade fee for the remap since you already have the license. That is generally how we have it structured. I believe the wording on Softronic website is that once you have the Client Cable, you can then get the appropriate software for your car from the server. I will check on their verbage and get back to you.

Thank you for the questions
Do not quote me on this, but they are usually around $250 for minor changes such as adding a intake, exhaust, intercoolers, different turbo, etc. If there is custom tuning required on a dyno, different charges will apply for the time of sending files back an forth. If you are in that position, then contact us directly to sort you out. Softronic has many of the basic maps for bolt on applications.

Thanks Dan!
I really don't see why some tuners don't market an "all you can eat" software plan. I'd happily pay more up front to know that I had access to a library of maps that I could grow with while I modded the car (and I'm not talking about custom tuning here).
For example, I may have a bead on a set of K16/24 hybrids, so I have been putting off buying a stage 1 flash from someone because I will kick myself if I have to pay $500 bucks 2 months later to update the flash.

They pretty much do have that, but if you had open access, that could be bad if you loaded a wrong file and blew your car up. I can say that Softronic and Vivid Racing are willing to work with each customer to give them the best tuning solution for their vehicle.

Can someone from Vivid respond on this thread how the software works in relation to re-flashing the ECU?
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...d.php?t=107521
Also, can your software get rid of the annoying CEL caused by 100 cell cat aftermarket exhausts?
Looking to buy soon, need answers....

Since my dealer is very anti-mod (mentioned in the thread) I'm looking for a solution so I don't have to send off the ECU everytime the dealer gets ahold of the car. I want to know if your software can work under these conditions.
By the way, the CEL is 0420, which I believe is related to the 100 cell cat. I reset it, and it comes back the next time I drive the car. I swapped the exhaust back to stock for an emmissions test and the CEL hasn't come back.....but I can't take the timid sound so I want to switch back.

Its a Fabspeed Gen 2 (max hp, max drone) Not the most elegant solution, but it was inexpensive and really has a good aggressive sound.....
