Would a EBC unit control over-boosting in cold weather?

Would a EBC unit control over-boosting in cold weather?

I'm noticing that my boost is being sustained at 1.3 for longer durations in the current cold weather. I spent a good amount of time fine tuning my EVO wastegates to hold 1.2, with occasional short bursts of 1.3, in the typical weather here in South Texas. Would a EBC, like the Greddy, prevent over-boosting during the occasional temp changes? Or, would over-boosting occur no matter what whenever the temps go down? Thanks.

I believe it would depend on the EBC itself. Some you dial in with a ****, which will likely not prevent it (it doesn't know that that's 1.2 bar or 1.3 bar, just that it has a set parameter at that time to hold to, as the weather changes the air is colder and the same parameter might be different). Other controls I believe have the ability to auto correct, especially those with built in gauges and other features.

A very basic unit would be like the older Greddy Profec Bs, the other end of the spectrum the AMS 1000 EBC which can even do great dependent boost and many other neat little tricks (especially helpful for those drag racers on this board).

You can actually do it with a $30 manual boost controller. It wil lsimply bleed off the extra boost spike.... that's what I used to do in winter...
