I'm wrestling with similar issues for possibly the '09 season. Turbo Porsche track cars start out and continue to be real expensive to own and operate.

Dez will probably have some reporting to do later this evening. I'll let him do his own editorial.
That's why I race 944's, there are corners you never even hit the brakes and man do you slide that thing around!!

There are some memebers on this forum that need to start thinking about Cup Cars!!!!!

Thanks Eric, I'll have to beat Reece to get it, so I know it wont be easy, but my car isnt even close to be maxed out for the class, so I can add lots to it (or take lots of weight from it, or both) and stay in TTU, so given my proximity to the record I feel good about the chances. I'll be running non DOT's which are at least a few seconds faster than the MPSC, or I could even opt for hoosier R6's or the faster A6's and be faster, either way, I want that record. If Reece doesnt detune to get back into TTU, it will be fairly easy, but if he does, it will be hard, but fun.

Pretty amazing that with 500 extra lbs and less hp I'm even in the ballpark. The TT is no joke, and I'm now learning to toss it around, and it actually likes it.

Awesome. It is good to see guys willing to drive their cars to the limit and "toss" them around a little. Hopefully I will get a first hand look at it this coming weekend.

I upgraded to the HTA35R and added the AEM EMS and tuned for E85. I had to also upgrade my fuel system which consists of AMS dual Walbro pump surge tank and 1200cc injectors. Like a dummy, I did not change to t-bolts for all the intercooler connections (the car was tuned the day before the event) and I kept blowing off at the compressor discharge. The car is still on the stock 2.0 and we tuned it at 26-27PSI on E85 and made 511AWHP. The E85 seems to be the ticket...$2.59/gallon and the same detonation resistance as VP MS 109 which costs around $11/gallon.
