I also looked for the bracket and could not find it.
I then took it to my dealer and his boss and they could not find it.
I told them I think its there by law.
Now I use a Booster seat and the rear stock seat belt. He is 2 1/2 and weighs 37lbs.
I would have rather found the rear anchors!

Look directly behind where you would think each rear passenger's head would be....in the carpet, I think where this is a right angle/edge there are two areas that have the beginnings of the look of a cover. I had to cut these out a bit...not the whole carpet mind you, just enough to get 3 of 4 sides of the rectangle free.
I used this for about a year. When done, I carefully played with the carpet for about 30 seconds and now you cannot tell I did anything...it looks like stock. I used only one side. I cannot tell them apart visually.
I found this out via a search on rennlist.com in the 996 section...fwiw.
Good luck.

My car is a 2002.

Infant baby seats?
Anybody put in a baby seat with a "base" into a 911? I've got an 18month, and another one on the way, but I desperately want to pull the trigger and buy a 911. I know I can get the 18 month old in no problem, i'm just worried about the newborn...anybody?

But first you have to buy the backseat and seatbelts from a turbo owner converting to GT2 look
Then spend a few hours in the garage....and tadah!
My Kids, age 5 and 3, love going in the back, backrest had to go though otherwise the Porsche childseats would not fit.
My GT2 is now streetlegal with 3 passengers after registration with the seatbelts in the back
