Thumbs up

Marty,

That Ruf 590 Nardo is impressive!!! They said it was a prototype (whatever that means). I love the extra rear vents in the rear fenders and the aero Mirrors.
I have visited Herr Ruf in Pfaffenhausen twice, I have driven his "test vehicles", and I have
ridden with him and Joseph in my rented A8 on the Autobahnen to the rev limiter (155). I know these guys are serious about speed, and do it better than anybody (integrated package). There is a huge difference in the top speed capabilities of their 550 package and the 590 package (which doubles
the cost due to engine build), due to the higher horsepower, higher up the RPM range where you would need it in a high speed run of that kind. I would have a RUF if cost was no option. Yours is a
GT2 Conversion 550 Conversion, correct? It is no doubt fast, just not 220+ mph fast.
Cheers,

Marty

Marty understood... Its a RUF 550 , with LWFW and clutch, 590 exhaust, many other extras that arent included with 550, headers and so on.. The car was side to side with a Proto 700 GT2 and I had a passenger, it's NO SLOUCh by any means and has endless power, but yea I havent been north of 200mph to know how it feels or what it would take :/

195 mph on speedo which usually reads 4 mph high so 191 mph? Hit rev limit, plenty of power left so with the right gears 210?

180mph indicated with stock ECU and tires with 4/32nds tread. Not sure what the actual speed was. I assume that the speedo calibration is done at max diameter tire size with no wear.

Wish you were around to admire this BuddyG, but I maxed out 6th gear(7000 RPM rev limit) at 205 MPH. Nothing left in her.

thats my first post in the forum ... my car is 9ff 996 turbo S ... top speed in speedo is 350 ,,, rev end .

*100-200 : 5.0 sec
*100-300 : 14.8 sec
" 0-100 : 3.8 for stock turbo S " ... 0-300 = 14.8 + 3.8 = 18.5 sec

* by performance box

im feeling proud to have 9ff badge on my car ..
