When does registration for this event open? I have been coerced into forsaking my NASA record at Road Atlanta to attend this event, and I'll be bringing my Atlanta crew with me.

I plan to be there.

http://zone2.pca.org/drivered.htm

It's the 14-16th... Friday - Sunday. I'll need someone to give me a check-off ride for white rungroup... and then I'll be set... Was there with Zone2 last September and had a ball!

I'm already a registered member of Zone 2, with the Potomac club. I'm in their logs and I think Ralph has me on the list of those needing a check-off ride. I'll be reminding him though. I want to get out of blue ASAP!!!

Subject: March 2008 Driving School @ Road Atlanta

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

The Peachtree BMW CCA cordially invites you to our first high performance driving school of 2008. The school is the weekend of March 8th and 9th at Road Atlanta. Prices for the school have not been set, but unfortunately as Road Atlanta raises their fees for track rental, there will be some sort of a price increase for this year.

Registration for Peachtree BMW CCA members opens on January 12th (Midnight). Only Peachtree BMW CCA members can register the first week. On January 19th (Midnight), non Peachtree members and non BMW CCA members can register. Any non-Peachtree members that register from the 12th-18th will have their registrations revoked and may forfeit Motorsportreg fees for their transaction. More information and details about the school are available at: http://peachtreebmwcca.motorsportreg.com/. While you're there go ahead and sign up for our Holiday Party on January 19th... it's a great event every year and worth attending if you can.

See you at the track! If you have any questions, please contact Kelly Childress at kelly@peachtreebmwcca.org

Also, if you are unable to attend as a student, but are interested in volunteering, please let me know.

Peachtree BMW CCA Driving School Committee

Chuck Taylor, Chairman
Tony Wasilewski, Chief Instructor
Mike Washington & Matt Brumwell, Classroom
Kelly Childress, Registrar

Heavy, just notify the registar of your former events with your turbo...they are more than willing to help!

If your running those kinds of time trials at RA, you shouldnt have a problem running high with these guys...have you guys not done any PCA stuff with your regions?

Nope, I was hesitant because everyone acted like you had to earn your stripes with each individual group, I went to Chin and they stuck me in NOVICE!!!!!!!! because it was my first time at Barber, I lapped just about everyone in that group MANY MANY times and then they gave me a check ride in the next group up, and I lapped all them too, and the master instructor raved about how well I drove, then.............. they put me back in novice . I went back two weeks later and beat everyone at the NASA event by almost 2 seconds and beat the person that ran the fastest at the Chin event too. I havent wanted to waist weekends driving in novice groups so I skipped PCA and BMWCCA.

And freakin Road Atlanta always sells out in a hour and I never get my stuff in on time, you have to send a check on a certain date, no questions asked, no contacts, no nothing. And I HATE ROEBLING. But I'll be doing some RA and Barber w/ PCA in 08'

Dude, I wish I could give you that check ride...you would be in atleast white if not black in a heartbeat...(IIRC VIR will be new to you)...I did my FIRST de there with these guys awhile ago and they put me in Blue rather than Green(which was great) with NO prior exp. Youll be fine...youll just be slitting your wrists the first couple runs...thats all...I guess it will give you time to get your bearings down as the track takes a good day to learn to the point where you can go "fast"...

Which groups are solo, there are too many colors!! They had better not put me in the slowest ones, I think Red is the middle of the line and I'd like an instructor, A GOOD ONE, for the first two or three sessions, and then I'll be good. It wont take me long to be at least as fast as the slowest in the fastest group (LOL).

Hey wait, Tom is PCA certified right? Get in my car and check me off dude!!

Tom,

If you are not already a member, I would recommend joining BMWCCA to assure yourself a spot. These things fill up pretty quickly but if you have instructor status with BMW, then it might not matter.

Hope to see you there. Who knows, you could end up being my instructor.

it goes green, blue, white(solo), Black(advanced solo), Red (Instructor)

I would try to get yourself in white. You can always have someone ride with you (instructor only) in any group however. Green and Blue have mandated instruction.

Tom, DEFINITELY try to get into heavy chevy's car so we can get him the sign off at least for white...

Also Tom...You we gotta take some runs together, Im sure we can both learn alot as I know the track, and we both know the cars...
