I'd say about 80 pages once everyone gets back home and starts posting pics and videos and lap times and just thoughts of the weekend.

But yeah, that GT2 sounds like a real meanie!!!!!! And in his hands he may be sub 2 minutes????

How many cars usually run 2:05 or better at these events?

usually only the legit race cars and other prepped vehicles with SLICKS...on R6s or similar semi-slicks, most who are really hustling with some hp (400 hp and up or no weight) are anywhere from 2.05 to 2.09...but with traffic, that always gets screwed up...haha

i was 2:00 and 2:01 s in my last 2000 cup car , 2:05 in stock 996gt3 with mich. slicks,,
and I ran the SY 997 gt3 one last year, stock set up, only ran 5 laps in one session and 9 laps in another session and hit 2:07..

there are alot of very fast folks coming to the event, but i can promise you one thing there will be alot of traffic out there ,,, i wouldnt expect real fast times due to traffic, plus it is the first event for most folks and most are shaking things out ...i think i posted a vid on this thread warming the cup up early last year.

I supose the 2 might be in the 2:07 2:10 range for the first few events i doubt i will push to hard ... just dont know he car

So I was fairly spot on with my diagnosis? Haha, I have a feeling that that 2 is definitely a SUB 2 car when your comfortable with it...is this your FIRST time in it then because your car wasnt ready for the last couple events?

I can't wait to hear how the event went, I wish I put more thought into it and actually attended. I want to run VIR its just a hike. I hope you all have a great time, hope to see some of you at other events and 930man best of luck with the GT2!

Oh and Drew don't hit any deer this time, saw the car today it looks good, a lot cleaner then mine so do to its dirty state I am putting the car on another diet.

I would say yours would be able to have 1 lap highs, but not hold a consistently amazing time. Meaning your 2 may be capable of a couple 2:01-2:03s BUT, the car would probably fall back to 2:04-2:08 because of your consumables...thats what makes cup cars consistent 2 flats and for 997s 1:57s just absolutely amazing...
