there are alot of very fast folks coming to the event, but i can promise you one thing there will be alot of traffic out there ,,, i wouldnt expect real fast times due to traffic, plus it is the first event for most folks and most are shaking things out ...i think i posted a vid on this thread warming the cup up early last year.

I supose the 2 might be in the 2:07 2:10 range for the first few events i doubt i will push to hard ... just dont know he car

Hummmmmm..... I am thinking I may be in the wrong run group!!!! All the other Tampa guys instructors included signed up for BLUE, white, and some black, RED, what was I thinking!!!!!!

tom
you will be fine!!! Not that bad of a group everyone I know is a good guy and helpful....
these aren't "timed" events just. Out having fun doing what we all like to do!!!

Traffic plays a big part of laps... Members days are usually very open days with some very good drivers most folks know what the other guy will do...

CarreraDos is infamous around these parts
Yup, just relax and enjoy yourself. It's a 3 day event. Plenty of time to learn. No qualifying, time sheets or race day to worry about. My biggest worry is getting a table at the Mexican restaurant on Thursday and Friday. Well, that and hoping I didn't screw anything up for registration

So far, what is the food plan?

And, someone please PM me with the tricks of protecting the interior if we have a monsoon. I plan to drive in it but I want some advice (leather is everywhere....).

I'm not taking offense to that, but what do you mean? RUF builds there car's to run full out all of the time, my suspension is FARRRRRR from stock as well?? Just confused, as I wasn't comparing my car to a cup car!

Fun story.

I am in the neighborhood of my audio shop Creative Car Tunes (Lemoyne, PA..google them)....(in a minute you'll see why I actually mention their name....) and decide to drop in to get some neat stickers for my blank white Zamp fsa1 helmet. It has been on my head less than 10 seconds. Audio shops often have cool stickers and the white helmet was just too white for me.

The manager shows me a helmet his speaker rep dropped by for advertising....anyway, guess what helmet JCB memphis now has in his possession...SA2005 and it fits better than the Zamp.... I feel a new AVATAR coming.....

Nicest thing I ever got at a car audio shop...at least the most fun. If you are in the mid atlantic and want a place not afraid of pcars....you can see my car when I get to VIR. The helmet was his way of saying thanks and have fun.

Yea, I'm thinking 2:04s in a TT or GT2 would be pretty quick. My goal, once I learn to drive properly is to get the car into the 2:0Xs... Lower than a 2:10 would be a personal goal, so I "hope" that I can obtain it!

These cars are a lot heavier than cup cars and PMI works wonders at reducing the potential of a high Hp, but heavy car.

My car is far from stock, power, suspension, and brakes, and I'd be surprised at having a pro run my car around the course at anything quicker than a 2:04, but it would be a "happy" surprise!

I am shooting for whatever my instructor tells me to do. My goal is to do a lap smooth, even if slow.
