I had my VarioCam fail on my car and found this neat little animation while doing some research. Amazing this system works at all, considering how fast it is operating in real life. I did run across a tidbit on the 2 stage intake lifters that said Porsche tested them to 1,000,000 cycles....

 

Mine too, currently having GT3 cams fitted.

 

sorry should explain, they are fitting GT3 exhaust cams while the motor is out and checking the timing etc
