fasto,
FWIW, the 241 was deserted on Xmas day and I haven't seen any little old ladies or someone pushing a baby carriage on the shoulder...ever.
For those righteous indviduals, remember a porsche going 120 mph has the same velocity as a semi going 65 or a freight train going 5 mph. If you can't figure out the relevance of that you won't win in Vegas either.

Totally agree.

If we lived in Germany and posted that we drove 120 people would ask
"vie ahh you drivink so slow ?"

Some roads like an uncrowded 241 are as safe as can be for using our cars for driving above the posted speed limit.

These people that post about being lucky you didn't kill innocent people must have the impression that every road in Calif. is crowded 24\7.

Let's all drive Yugo's and be over it.

Very presumptive. Not to mention the fact that holiday traffic on these roads is usually very light.

I think he had good intentions - no one wants to see anyone die, especially from something as preventable as driving too fast and especially after you see enough bad accidents.

Here is my take on it...

I break laws everyday, whether it be speeding, or what have you... If I get pulled over, I will do my time and pay the line (as I already have for a certain Class A). I'm just lucky I haven't been caught every time I've done something. That is the same way you should look at it.

Here is my advice: get a good lawyer, go expecting to lose, if you come out ahead, technically in your mind, you win - you pay, its over.

Don't do the crime, if you can't do the time. (cheesy I know, but it is the truth)

BTW, speaking of getting pulled over... I got pulled over yesterday because I didn't use my freaking turn signal.

When the cop came to my window and asked for my license and insurance, he asked if my turn signal was broken. I responded with, "No, I just didn't use it... and I'm not wearing my seatbelt either." (since I saw him staring at my unbuckled belt).

And about a year ago, got a ticket for improper usage of a golf cart on roadway...

Yeah... honesty is the best policy. I haven't lied to a police officer, but I won't admit guilt to certain crimes... seatbelt is a pay and go - and he let me off with no written or verbal warning, just a have a nice day. As I went to shake his hand, he moved away and said, "I don't want my superiors to review the tape, they may think I took money or other bribes."

Seriously, if your superior is going to review the tape, he is going to ask you why the hell you pulled a guy over because he didn't use his turn signal...

Relax there is no need to get your panties wet about someone's comments. Not everyone thinks the same and no need to get excited when someone has an opinion different then your's. Good luck.
