997 gt3 rs shift kit

Hello,I'm tired with my B&M short shifter,it feels to notchy, and I know that the 997 GT3 shift kit will fit but does anybody know that the 997GT3RS shift kit will fit?
Maybe the kit from the 997GT3 and the 997GT3RS are the same?

Using the stock 997 GT3 shifter (stress stock, not the GT3 short kit) has been a good compromise for me. Shorter than stock 996TT but still very smooth. It is also more robust than the stock 996TT. And best of all it is cheap...around $200.

Yes I looked into this as well I believe it was $230.00 from the dealer. The thing that got me though was that the part # was the same for the GT3, turbo, and cayman too..... thats why i was not to fast to pull the trigger, i wanted to research it a little more.

GT3 Shifter

I tried my buddies 04' GT3 shifter, longer throw than my
OEM Porsche short shifter. But I liked it alot, not notchy
positive shift feeling. I am changing my tranny fluid and see
what difference it makes in the feel (especially cold)
See thread on cold transmission shifting (good info)

According to Porsche, the 997 turbo, 997 gt3, 997gt3rs all use the same shifter assembly

this was confirmed at two porsche dealers

That may be true (or not!) but the 997 GT3 shifter most definitely has a shorter throw than the 996TT. Here is the original thread:

Gt3 shifter installed today,my impressions:
Maybe a little bit shorter than oem shifter but not much.
But:very very easy to shift , better than oem,I had the B&M shortshifter and it was to notchy for me.
I could be wrong but a friend of mine has a 997GT3RS and I think it shifts shorter than the setup I have now but shiftkit has the same porsche number.
Could it be because he has a shorter shiftknob?

After reading everyone's comments on here as well as Rennlist, I just bought the 997 GT3 shifter kit yesterday.

It will take 3-4 days to arrive but I will let you know what I think of it.

From what I gather, the shifting should be shorter and smoother than my 996 TT standard shifter but not as notchy as a short shifter.
