Tyson,
It is so funny that you mentioned that!! I must be honest, YOUR comments about Cary, from months ago, continue to keep ringing in my head. Quite honestly, that is why I opened up my initial conversations with him and ultimately it all paid off! So, I really do wish to personally thank you for giving me the lead to contact him. Thanks again!!! Can't wait to hear how your upgrade goes!
icerbofh,
I am unfamiliar with them. Can you post their sizes, adjustability extent and a link to them??
xico,
THe drop links are from the Racers Group. I bought them through AWE since they put the package together for me.
Mike,
That is VERY interesting news!!

If we estimate the bar is 5 feet in total length, then the weight difference is 1.2 pounds!!!
Without calculating it, the rear bar weight differential is going to be similar.
Quite frankly, I cannot get excited about 1.2 pounds!!

There are different bars available. The weight difference can be way more than 1.2 pounds. In this situation, you will pay more for less. Are you assuming all bars are solid or made of steel? Or try T300 steel.

Ken , it was nice talking to you today. Thank you for the info on the drop links , i ended up getting the adjustable ones from porsche motorsport and i got the GT3RS front control arms as well, they are being installed on Wednesday this week.(my car will be corner weight balanced as well). Iam going to drive the car to Orlando on thursday, so i will provide feedback on the settings etc when i get back on saturday.

Chad,
Yes, I assumed all bars were solid with my weight calc. Even still Chad, and with all due respect, sway bars do not weigh very much anyway. My MINI bar is hollow but I am not aware of the hollow bars for the TT. Please enlighten me with brands, sizes and weights (or at least wall thicknesses.
Xico,
The pleasure was mine. I can only imagine how big that bill was!!!
I look forward to your feedback.

Thanks Tyson.. Let me know when you want to start on your GT2... I'd like to use the "Piggy Back" canister shocks on your car.. pretty sure we can do those in 4 way Too...
Ken... Would you be interested in some Bladed ARB's?

Ken, almost all sways are hollow. You know this! How much strength do you lose going from solid to hollow in torsion? Extremely little, thus almost all sways are hollow. If you need it a little stronger, make the diameter bigger, but still hollow is better than smaller and solid.
But, your point on not much weight is correct. The rear GT-3 sway weighs 1552 grams.

The kit includes the front and rear dampers, H&R springs, lower control arm rubber bushing replacements for both front and rear, rear upper control arm replacements, rear toe link replacements, rear GT3 sway bar and, finally, Racer’s Group drop links. The monoball strut top mounts and needle thrust bearings are not shown in this photo but can be seen in later photos.
KPV, to clarify - the moton dealer in IL stated the sway bars and some other items does not come with the Moton Clubsport kit...

Shank-
I don't want to speak out of turn, but that is correct. I have a complete listing of what is needed to install the Motons since we sold them to him.
Ken did purchase some additional pieces on his own that are nice additions, but not necessarily needed for install.

Shank,
Mike is 100% correct. At a minimum you will need the kit with the springs and 4 monoball strut mounts to do it correctly. All of the other stuff is extra.
By the way, I just finished the front and rear sway bars installaion. The rear bar took about 15 minutes. The front was about 45 minutes. It was too late to try them out but I will report back once I do!!

Thanks so much very informative. I do not know if anyone around here can handle the work to get the Motons "right" It sounds like you got the perfect setup and I would love to have your exact set-up. How much was the cost of the entire set-up and what were your impressions of the JIC setup? Thanks again

Lou,
My cost for the Motons with all the goodies was in the neighborhood of $6K. That is factoring in the alignment, realignment, tweaking, hard parts, etc., etc. Remember, however, I did the main installation myself. A few of the tough to install hard parts, as well as the alignments, were done by Vipertestarossa's shop. So, you will have to factor in labor as an added expense.
Vipertstarossa (Ron) can shed light on the trials and tribulations of the JIC's. I know he went through quite a bit to get them "right". I believe he is happy now. I have watched his car as we drive and its response looks excellent. Ron?? Care to add anything??

You can't go wrong with Motons and it sounds like you had a lot of fun with your project.
No disrespect intended, but I'd like to ask if all of these so-called "improvements" actually has proven to lower lap times or, id est, makes you go faster around the track. Do you have lap times that you recorded? Even approximates before and after the "upgrade?"
Even after 5 pages of reading, all that's mentioned is it handles New Jersey's potholes pretty ok, beautiful machining of parts, blah, blah, blah.
The love fest is cute, but I'm curious if it's actually worthy of some man praise at the race course.
I come from the Doug Hayashi school of internet racer assessments.
