Trailer possiblity/cost
#2
It has been a long time since I rented a car hauler, but it was about $35-50 per day. Only U-haul and Ryder at that time. U-hauls are heavy as lead. The light-hookup harness already exists on lots of SUVs. I ended up buying an open trailer for about $1300, new. They hold value well. The rental trailers have a mechanical brake usually, so you don't need a power wire and electric brake control. Of course you need a class-3 hitch. I think Ryder or equivalent will rent a truck-trailer package.

How many miles does it need to go?
If you are a member of the local Porsche club, many of the members have
trailers (from simple open to fancy closed). Maybe someone could
loan you one?
Otherwise it may be worth a call to FedExp Freight or someone similar
(they are a million threads on car transporters).
good luck,
MK

Can you offer the brand/where you bought it so I can do a search on this?
Thanks

My trailer, 15 years ago, came from "Trailersource" near Atlanta. I do not find them on-line, but this place popped up. http://www.trailersforless.com/
It is a light-duty trailer, pulls OK with Explorer-size SUV with V8, has electric brakes. I would guess similar designs are available across US. Also check classifieds in your region.

Lol! Ya my car is pretty low too (GT2 height). I was reading around and for the trailers i found it was recommended that you dont exceed 45 mph. And doing a 400 mile trip at 45 just isnt for me.

45-NEVER!

We are in the same boat on height. Wood, wood and wood....
65 minimum or I will fall fast asleep!

I guess i'll just put another 1,000 "un-glorious" miles on the car.
