If you find a source, ask them about the rear calipers... I'd love to upgrade the rears to the 350MM 997Turbo setup as well!

See, I think a lot of guys over your side of the pond do more 1/4 mile sprints etc which would be fine, but if your on track for 20 to 30 min a time constantly using the brakes it's a different story, I just take every possible step to gain best performance and cooling. Remember I mentioned a while back regarding your direct air ducting, I didn't disagree with it, I still think it's the best way of cooling the Rotor, my concern was blocking the air flowing through the original duct. I'm actually looking at running a similar system to yours, but trying to keep the bottom duct active, I have the Cup Ducts.

You will find a big difference when you get your 6pot system up and running, infact a huge difference.

Steve, Although My avitar suggests otherwise, I only am interested in roadcourse work. Those I've seeked advice from are also road racer types... The courses I run are 2.2-3.27 mile courses where I see over 160mph every lap for 30 minutes at a time with no issues braking. I upraded mainly to get away from drilled rotors...

TwinT, Yes I'm looking for the 997TT rear caliper/rotor. The rotors are selling for $350-ish from Suncoast per pair(from memory).

Just had the rear 997 GT3 rotors (350mm) and calipers put on.
PM me if you need info as I am not sure what I can and cant post re obtaining different products at good prices.
Went with the latest monoblock Brembo 6 pots for the front with floating rotors. Slotted.

That's what I was trying to say, It depends on what track etc, I do various tracks where it is really heavy on the brakes and you can easily boil the fluid, it just makes sense if you are going to through on 6 pots all round at the same time through the braided hoses on.

Mike, just a quick one to add to that, if you haven't experienced the boiling the fluid effect, let me tell you this, pumping the **** out of the pedal, it was more like pumping the **** out of my pants!

So the 997TT Front Rotors are 350mm? How much are just the GT2/GT3 Front 6 piston calipers?

Steve I had brake failure in my car the very first time I tracked the car, and it was at VIR at the end of the front straight at about 160mph... I was pulling seat fabric out of my butt for a week!

Thanks in advance!!

They should fit, I recently did the upgrade. Steve at Suncoast said the
upgrade was from a 997 GT3. However the caliper
part #'s he sent me are: 996-351-431-90 & 996-351-432-90
the rotor part #'s are: 997-351-405-00 & 997-351-406-00
The new price for the calipers in the kit are $903.74 each.
The price for the rotors are $199.46 each. I think you have to buy the kit
complete to get these prices, $2619.70 total.

Thanks for this info.

I think I will just want to order the calipers as it will be easy for me to source the rotors myself here and will reduce the shipping cost from the US to UK.

I have PM'ed Steve but he has not come back to me. Is he around on the forum often?

Thanks

Lee

I spoke with Steve today when I was ordering some bolts and pad hardware. They can sell the 350mm rear calipers for about $1100... I'll be ordering a set once I sort the clutch/Pressureplate out.
