Many thanks

Suncoast has a sale going on now: http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/me...tegory_Code=WS
It seems like a great price for the GT2 calipers and 350 mm rotors.

This brake set up is designed for the 996tt and will bolt on. if you buy gt2 or gt3 front
calipers you will need to change the calipers at about $800 ea. Suncoast is a good deal.
I was told these are for the 2005 turbo s that is how they fit our cars.

That doesn't make any sense!!!

I have said this now for about the hundreth time.
You buy a GT3 6 POT CALIPER and run a 997 TURBO STEEL ROTOR and it bolts straight up.
I do know as I ran this for a while and went through 2 Rotors.
Look back on very recent threads (only a week or 2 ago)

That's correct... It has NOTHING to do with the caliper and EVERYTHING to do with the GT3/GT2 rotor hat offset. If you can buy the calipers, by themselves at a savings, then jump on them and get the 997T rotor from suncoast for $400-ish per pair.
Otherwise, just buy the kit suncoast is selling for $2600!

So you can the 997 Steel Rotors will work with the GT3/GT2 6 Piston Calipers on a 996TT?

Yes, and here's why...
The uprights on the GT2/GT3 are different than the uprights on the Turbo. The caliper is a direct bolt on, but the rotor of the GT2/GT3 is different in the hat offset. The rotor "hat" is the center hub section that slides over the hub/bearing/Spindle. It has the five lug studs in it and the two securing holes for those little phillips screws that hold the rotor in place... That's the difference in the setups. The 997 Turbo rotor is a direct bolt on. Will it clear the factory wheel? I'm assuming it will, since it is the right Diameter and offset, but I'll 110% be able to tell you yes or no when my rotors come in on Tuesday. I'll moch everything up and report back.
Also, I'm running Motul brake fluid without any issues, and although I have a set of SS lines for the car, Im' not even planning to install them. The OEM brake line is a VERY good line from the factory, and I'm not sure it's worth upgrading.

I now give up

Install the lines, really depends what track/circuit you are at, I boiled my fluid a while back and these lines are worth the change, especially if you are fixing on new rotors etc at same time.
