Evoms 615 kit vs Stock 997TT
Friend of mine just got himself a non X50 996TT tip which has been modified cosmetically for now (GT2 look from MAShaw), but has just gotten headers, intake, Milltek mufflers, turbos, ECU, cats, DVs, etc. from Evoms and supposedly the kit will end up with ±615hp (sorry I don't have more details ). I know no internal work is being done to the engine. I just have some doubts:
1- is this a grenade about to blow up?
2- will this car be able to hang with a 997TT?
Edit: its a Stage 4 from Evoms.... My bad on my grenade comment, should have known better, my apologies to Evoms!

not sure you need to change turbos to reach that level performance since the X50 comes with K24s...
Back in the day, IA ECU + air filter + exhasut + headers = 640HP

If the 997tt does a chip, exhaust, etc... watch out... those things are fast.....

However, at this moment you can't convert the 997 turbo into a 2WD platform unlike the 996 turbo

That 640 is on race gas though. Not many run 100 octane fuel on the street. On 91 you're making more like 600 bhp. Nonetheless, if your making over 600 bhp you should easily run away from a 7 Turbo.

As far as I know, there are no modded 07TTs here, and my buddy only used a stock one as a benchmark. The best fuel we ca get here is 91 (unless you purchase your own 55 gal. drum of race fuel, something I know my bud is not doing for this car). Thanks for the replies, I guess the consensus is that a Stage 4 Evoms 996TT Tip will pull and pass a 997TT (stock).

If the car is nonX50, the stage 4 kit from EVOMS will include K24 turbos, but 615 HP sounds optimistic. I have the stage 4 kit with the addition on hoses, wastegate springs, fuel regulator and my car dynoed 514 HP to the wheels on a dynojet. my tuner says that translates to just under 600 HP. in any event, the car is faster than hell My understanding is these engines can handle up to 600 HP to the wheels without losing reliability

I just went back to Evoms website and noticed that they give a range for performance figures, not a precise number:
Stage 4 Horsepower: 600-615
Stage 4 Torque: 620-635
Hey, after spending that amount of money, why not quote the more optimistic number?

I am getting the PBOx next week here to have a good measure and add this data to Divexxtreme tread:

which could answer this tread as well.
