Costco has the floor tiles in the store at the moment in 42SF/Box regular price of $109/Box with a $30.00/Box manufacturer rebate. Pretty damn good deal.

LT1, to post pics you have to load them to a website like photobucket.com and then copy them from there.
won't the pergo matting get all nasty and moldy from the water/moisture/anything else spilled in your garage?

The underside of the tiles are not flat so I would imagine air can get between the matting and the tile. I'll pull up a section this weekend and report back.

Blackbear, I'm not sure what beach you're near, but if you are in SoCal you are welcome to drive out to east bumf&*K, oops!, I meant Rancho Cucamonga, and check my floor out before you decide to spend money.

curious how will both of these tile and paint coverings hold up after prolonged lengths of time with your car up on jack stands. like if it sat for weeks and months?

I installed a black and white checker PVC tile from Sams club about 6 months ago. It just floats on the concrete floor and installs like "lego" blocks. It expands and contracts with temp changes; so glue is not recommended. So far, it does not show any wear or discoloration. It does expand underneath the engine area after the car has been run from the heat but settles down as it cools. Check Sam's club for pricing; I recall about 60 cents per sq.ft....

That is a crazy low price and I think you are remembering wrong, but if not you got an amazing deal. I am really glad you mentioned Sam's because you made me search. They have pvc tile 40 sqft packs (which include corner and side edging) for $132 (3.30/sqft). They normally list for $199, and previously the cheapest I have found online is $169. So thanks again for bringing up Sam's Club.

Wheelman,
The matting I put under the tile completely eliminates the click clack sound.

Oak,
If you put a small sheet of wood under the jackstands the tile won't dent. Even if it does, you just unsnap it and put another piece of tile in its place.

thanks that's what I thought. I don't want to deal with another step just keep the tiles looking nice. I guess I'm old skool. just simple old concrete is fine for me.
